Thirteen years ago I had the honor to be given a rescue dog named Pinta. She was just under two years of age. Her situation with her previous owners did not work out. That was my fortune. Along with my other dogs (one other who was also a rescue), the three of us would romp through the Colorado hills. Friends who were told of Brownie’s situation with her previous owners could not believe how anyone could not want this lovable spirit. Many wanted to adopt her should anything happen to me. Brownie filled my household with joy, love, and companionship for not only me but also for all the other animals in the household. I am forever grateful she found her way into my life.
